Daniel Lee and his family, who have lived in Australia for nine years, are facing deportation to Korea unless the Department of Immigration and Border Protection accepts their second ministerial intervention appeal.
According to the Herald Sun, the Lee family received negligent advice twice from two different practitioners and were scammed $98,000 in the process.
This case serves as a lesson to always obtain migration law advice from a qualified immigration lawyer registered with the Migration Agents Registration Authority.
