In order to maintain your right to live and work in Australia, a permanent visa holder must apply for a Resident Return Visa in order to renew his or her visa every five years (subject to meeting certain criteria) or apply for and be granted Australian citizenship.
At Marino Law, our Immigration Lawyers are experts in all forms of citizenship applications and matters including:
- Citizenship by Descent;
- Citizenship by Conferral;
- Citizenship under special circumstances;
- Advising on and appealing citizenship refusals on residence grounds; and
- Advising and appealing citizenship refusal on character grounds.
Our lawyers can also assist permanent visa holders who are not eligible for citizenship with resident return visas even where the applicant has been absent from Australia for a prolonged period of time.
